Club Med kicked off construction of Club Med St. Croix with a groundbreaking ceremony, featuring top officials from the all-inclusive company, the U.S. Virgin Islands and VICI Properties, is set to begin welcoming guests in the fourth quarter of 2027 and serves as Club Med’s return to the U.S., with St. Croix part of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Club Med acquired the Carambola Beach Resort, a landmark hotel originally developed by the Rockefeller family in the 1980s, to develop the property.
A Unique Caribbean Experience
“St. Croix is a destination we’ve long admired, and one that has welcomed us with open arms,” said Carolyne Doyon, president and CEO of Club Med North America and the Caribbean. “Its beauty, culture and spirit are unlike anywhere else in the Caribbean, and we wanted to bring that to travelers through the kind of all-inclusive experience that only Club Med can create – one that is designed around genuine joy and connection, effortless ease and a real sense of place.”
The resort will feature all-suite accommodations, international and Caribbean-influenced cuisine, an infinity pool with Caribbean sea views, a full-service spa, and a roster of sports and recreation activities.
Boosting the Local Economy
